Phil & Alice first appeared on The Fitch Bandwagon from 09/29/46 to 05/23/48. They program was very popular and led to a series titled the Phil Harris/Alice Faye Show sponsored by Rexall.. This comedy series was based on the domestic life of Phil and Alice. It was heard from 10/03/48 until 06/04/50. The program was then sustained until RCA took over in February of 1951.
The cast included Phil Harris & Alice Faye, with Elliott Lewis as Frankie Remley, Walter Tetley as Julius Abbruzio, Jeanine Roose as Alice Jr., Anne Whitfield as little Phyllis, Robert North as Alice’s brother Willie until 1953 then the role was played by John Hubbard and finally Gale Gordon as Mr. Scott. Also heard in supporting roles were Frank Nelson, Sheldon Leonard, and the Sportsmen Quartet.
